Avlu 34 AVM’s existing website was built on an outdated WordPress infrastructure, with content last updated in 2020. Its SSL certificate had expired, the website was no longer functioning properly, and outdated store information made it difficult for visitors to access relevant information.
As part of the project, a new website was designed and developed to address Avlu 34 AVM’s digital communication needs, enable efficient content management, and deliver a modern, performance-focused user experience.
Approach
The project began with an analysis of websites for shopping centers of a similar scale. Based on this research and the needs of the target audience, a new information architecture was developed. The website includes dedicated sections for the homepage, stores, dining, campaigns, events, cinema, about, contact, and visit planning, along with a site-wide search feature for quick access to content.
The visual language was intentionally kept simple and restrained. A predominantly black-and-white color palette, combined with sharp-edged interface elements, established a consistent and minimal visual character across the experience.
Content Management
The content management system was structured to minimize manual maintenance of time-sensitive content. Start and end dates can be defined through Sanity CMS, allowing hero sections, campaigns, and events to automatically become active or inactive based on their scheduled dates.
The cinema section directs users to the relevant platform for ticket purchases, while the visit planning section brings together information about parking and the services available to visitors.
Results
Following the launch, the new website achieved a 90+ performance score on mobile.
Based on the first 30-day averages, Google Search Console recorded 43.2K impressions and 2.3K clicks, while Google Analytics reported approximately 3.8K new active users during the same period.
The project transformed Avlu 34 AVM’s outdated digital presence into a modern and sustainable web platform, bringing together content management, performance, and user experience within a single digital experience.
